Established in 2004, Ready-To-Wear label Hemant & Nandita, has quickly carved a niche for it’s extremely luxurious yet wearable aesthetic that combines the old with the new.

Hemant & Nandita label is synonymous with an aesthetic that brings together two seemingly disparate sensibilities that share a common vision. Rooted in tradition, their gorgeous prints enhanced with little details like tassels and neon embroidered hems the ensembles are stamped with a ‘Made in India’ tag yet inspire a contemporary, edgy freshness that is benchmarked with leading global trends and labels today.
Hemant and Nandita met while pursuing their degree in Fashion and share their appetite and love for the arts. Hailing from a business family, Hemant was always passionate about entrepreneurship and Nandita’s desire to vent her creative energy, seeded the bond of their friendship.
In 2004, with the ideology to be inspired by art forms and to cartel it with a contemporary outlook, the duo began their design journey. They work their charisma over basic motifs inspired from architecture, carvings, dying art forms, and tribal culture to transform them into classic yet fashion forward prints, embroideries and surface developments. While Hemant works towards the brand presence and business outlook, Nandita spearheads designing and creative aspects.
With brand recognition across the globe, this all started when they showcased at India Fashion Week in 2009 after which, there was no looking back. In 2011, they were picked up by Anthropologie, and today they retail across the globe from some of the best multi-designer outlets in the country boasting of a presence in leading stores abroad including Anthropologie, , Neiman Marcus, Revolve Clothing, Harvey Nichols, Everything But Water, ShopBop, Intermix, Calypso, Vaako, Lillies Boutique, Beymen in Turkey, Aishti in Lebanon., Free People and Amazon.com. The label has also made its presence in United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Spain, France, Italy, UAE, Switzerland, Germany, Egypt, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Norway, Lebanon and South Korea.
Hemant & Nandita’s seamless ability to blend traditional elements with the contemporary bohemian bits fused with the international silhouettes has since been their stronghold and hallmark.
Designed for women who love to explore and experiment with their style, the label is young, wearable, and effortlessly elegant. Offering staples like sweatshirts and bombers to resort wear and chic western wear, the brand creates versatile silhouettes to wear from desk to dinner for the free-spirited cosmopolitan woman who is a globetrotter but who doesn’t forget her roots.

Over the years, Hemant & Nandita has carved a niche for itself in the world of fashion with ingenious quirky, witty designs, prints and textures. A beautiful blend of ethnic Indian traditions and contemporary western style, the Hemant & Nandita collection is also a
celebrity favorite. Deepika Padukone, Kangana Ranaut, Jacqueline Fernandez, Alia Bhatt, Parineeti Chopra among others in India and Nicky Hilton, Jackie Miranne, Dascha Polanco, Danielle Prescod to name a few, have also adorned the label. American Reality TV Personality – Bethenny Frankel, pop singer – Kesha and Alessandra Ambrosio, the Victoria’s Secret Angel have also made Hemant & Nandita a part of their wardrobe.
A strong brand philosophy of easy, wearable and comfortable clothing with a chic casual sophistication translates into all their collections. Hemant & Nandita now also offer a selection of kids’ dresses in colourful prints that are uniquely crafted and embellished for the little ones, which also retails successfully at Neiman Marcus online. Kourtney Kardashian’s daughter Penelope Disick, has also sported their dresses on several occasions.
